Kryolan Cosmetics Australia
Interior Design - Retail
Kryolan was founded in Germany 66 years ago as a professional makeup and cosmetics company. In 1978 Marshal Caffyn, an Australian pharmacist, started to produce and offer the range to performers of film, stage and TV. More recently the company’s product has become highly sought after by the general beauty market. Kryolan chose to relocate their literally ‘underground’ shop to a new space on Little Collins Street and commissioned Artillery to design the new space. The cultural market shift, history, science and functional requirements became the catalyst for informing the design process.
Paul & Joe
Interior Design - Retail
Doherty Lynch was engaged by luxury French brand Paul & Joe to create a store within a shopping mall. The design had to reflect key brand positioning such as Paul & Joe’s French heritage and love of quirkiness in bespoke detailing. However, it was also important that the store have it’s own personality and individual charm, plus it was necessary to do so in a local context with the local shopper top-of-mind.
Crumpler Doncaster
Interior Design - Retail
The Crumpler Doncaster store aims to reinvent the notion of a traditional retail interior and its components. Design to be considered as a woven object rather than a store, the notion of a traditional shopfront is shifted from being highly transparent into a kinetic and dynamic element that shifts from clear to solid depending on the perspective of the viewer.
ANZ FX Landside and Airside
Interior Design - Retail
ANZ has opened Foreign Exchange (FX) retail facilities at Melbourne’s International Airport on both landside and airside concourses. The distinctive design has set a new benchmark for airport small footprint retail design. The sites have not only lifted the ANZ brand, but also the Melbourne airport retail experiences, bringing it to a global benchmark on best retail practices in Australia and Victoria. This design has resulted in a significant increase in business and building of brand recognition for its global customers.
